"Japan fashion now" exhibit in New York.... looks interesting!

Yohji Yamamoto Fantastic!
Undercover Interesting!

The Museum at FIT explores the phenomenon that is Japanese fashion in their new exhibit Japan Fashion Now.
"The exhibit begins with a gallery that pays homage to the Japanese fashion revolution of the 80s. This gallery includes asymmetrical designs by Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garçons, “Orientalist” fashions by Kenzo, and pop-culture jumpsuits by Kansai Yamamoto. Ensembles in the main gallery by Junya Watanabe and Tao Kurihara demonstrate the evolution of deconstruction and the influences of punk and kawaii (cute) culture on Japanese fashion. A section of the exhibit is devoted to upcoming Tokyo labels such as N.Hoolywood, Factotum, and Number (N)ine. Also on display is the clothing of “Cosplay” which is a popular role-play activity that involves dressing up as characters from comic books and anime films."
My new favorites: Undercover and Phenomenon
