Some new wonderful inspiration....minä perhonen

I just love this brand minä perhonen and their clothes and textile and their sense of style....
From their website:
The name of the brand originates in Finnish as the designer sympathized with the lifestyle and the culture of FINLAND; he has traveled many times through northern European countries. "minä" means "I" and "perhonen" is "butterfly," with a wish to make many beautiful designs like those of butterflies' wings. The brand logo signifies "various characters (dots) within oneself (rectangle shape)." Just like the species of butterflies are countless, the designs too continue to increase.

Charlottes room....an elegant mix in a bohemian style...

I adore the style and the colour that Charlotte Pettersson, interiour responsible at Sköna hem, have in her home. A nice elegant vintage feeling anno 20...for me.

This is two areas where shopping is really fun (sometimes too expensive) and also lots and lots of nice restaurants and bars. Collex-the designshop have a scandinavian focus.

A very interesting book about the future of Stockholm-it makes you think...

The book is produced by Färgfabriken...and it gives you many different views of what Stockholm can be...it gives you history and future...and it makes you think about how you would like to live your life. It brings up a very important discussion.

Knitting for Christmas deco...

Mafuyu’s cute green knots, now on display at the
LANVIN en Bleu shop in Omotesando,Tokyo.

I have seen the work of Mafuyu Murakami before as "the Knittted houses", during the designweek. Now I saw an interwiev with her at PingMag.jp. She is really doing playful things with the yarn and the knitting method. Now she is displaying some of her works in a shopwindow at Omontesando, Tokyo. So now it is time to knit for Christmas...

Modern Snowqueen....

Art and fashion, costume design and animation - Brazilian Jum Nakao is playful: Either turning his “A costura do invisivel” fashion show into a happening, where his most delicate paper dresses get torn apart. All of his works, for example the paper-made “A costura do invisivel” fashion line , have a playful relationship with the spectator. He wants to get a distance from reality and a connection with the invisible, with people’s imagination, to let them see it from a different perspective - a less realistic one.

Today we went to a antique/vintage market that was fun to see. Lots of old kimonos, ribbons in all kind of colours and old Buddha statues and more and more.... Inspiration, inspiration..... Its hard to have a real Christmas feeling here when its still so warm outside...but now we are hitting towards Christmas....
