If anyone is going to New York...I want to order a pair of shoes...

Barbara Shaum Ltd. is making these kind of shoes. You choose the leather and she makes the shoes. It takes 3  to 4 weeks. I do not know the price. It looks like favorite, favorite shoes! I do want two pair of these sandals. The bag is nice too.

POST FOSSIL excavating 21stcentury creation

An exhibition at the design museum 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, Tokyo, by curator and trend forecaster Ludwig Edelkoort.

I went to a warm, organic and very exiting exhibition the other day. This is an exhibition that is looking for a big change in our relation to design. As Lidewij Edelkoort says, “ Time has come for a big change, Society is ready to break away from the last century for good. To break from creative conventions, theoretic rules and stigmas that now are questioned challenged and banded.”

This is an exhibition about young designers searching after their history, going back to basics and trying to find a new contact with the earth. It is about to reconnect with the nature and earth, with big creativity and open eyes and with a big lust to discover new solutions. Earth, wind and fire where the elements of choice and the forms where irregular and volcanic spreading like a virus. The designers where trying to give their products life and they where inspired from old traditions and rituals.
