New design museum in Tokyo....to be discoverd by me....

Clothing designer Issey Miyake plans to build a new design museum in the Roppongi mega-development in Tokyo. Dubbed 21/21 Design Sight, the facility is architected by Tadao Ando and Nikken Sekkei, and operated by the Miyake Isssey Foundation (established in 2004). "21/21 Design Sight will not be a showcase for pre-established examples of design," the announcement says, "but rather will be a venue from which to show items in our world, edited and recaptured from a point of view of design." The project is slated to open in spring 2007.

Italian genius-my biggest favorite!

This artist, writer, designer, architect, graphic, designer, educator, philosopher, has no interest in luxury and no interest in placing the trendy before the enduring or an artistic gesture before method.
The Munari Principle: lucidity, leanness, exactitude and humor.
When I move to Tokyo (in august)
I will study his big work with an experimental space/workshop for kids in the middle of the big city. His name is Bruno Munari.

Right now at galleria carla sozzani, Milano!

Masterpieces of bricolage;
the materials used to make the collection are a vast
range of inventive finds. Garments and objects is given a second life.
By respecting and maintaining the traces of the passage of time and use,
they remain one of the keystones of the maison’s artistic expression.
The use of white, with all its different shades, tones and texture, as universal
colour and the decorative signature have also always characterized the maison
martin margiela.margiela is an excellent tailor who really knows how to sew,
and his clothes, although undeniably strange, are beautifully (de)constructed.
Each garment is reworked entirely by hand at the maison’s atelier in paris.

PLAY.orchestra!!

PLAY.orchestra recreated an empty orchestra pit of 60 seats, where commuters or other passers-by, including disabled persons, could take the stage and together experience a musical piece from the player's perspective. By taking a seat or entering floor hot spots, a recording of the correspondent musical instrument was triggered. As more people sat down, the composition progressively revealed its whole. Users could further engage with the piece by sending their own sounds through their mobile phones.

Architecture visions and thoughts....

Wonder and astonishment are the genuine elements
of Italian poetics and their territory.
Does Italian architecture still wish to produce wonder
and astonishment? The work of 5+1AA, rendered in terracotta
models by Danilo Trogu and photographs by Ernesta Caviola,
is on exhibit at the Whitecross Gallery in London from 1 February.
Seems to be an very interesting exhibition!!!
